We supplied and fitted this heavy duty galvanised roller shutter door this week near to Bradford.
It was a challenging installation due to the proximity of the mezzanine structure inside the building. And also the steel framed construction of the building itself.
We removed the old manual roller shutter that was already there. The spring was weak and the door was hard to operate. It was also non safety compliant as it had no fall back device.
We fitted a fully compliant door with large tubular motor and safety brake. This includes an interlock switch that we connect to the control unit, so if the brake becomes activated, the door can no longer be moved. This is critical for safety.
24vdc voltage at the operating switch, further enhances operator safety. No chance of contact with deadly voltage.
